Mark Kronenthal's practice at Bailiwick Strategies includes all areas of commercial real estate transactions, with experience in land use/zoning matters, data center and energy development, planned community development, commercial leasing and transactions, historic tax credit development, lending, energy, municipal and P3 matters, and business/government strategies.
Mark negotiates complex purchase and sale agreements, ground and space leases, municipal ordinances, easements, use restrictions, declarations, restrictive covenants, siting agreements, and land use/zoning matters for all types of commercial clients. He advises clients on general corporate matters, on local, state and federal government relations, on complex community relations, and on administrative and enforcement issues. Mark further represents lenders and borrowers in a wide variety of lending scenarios, including commercial/multi-family acquisitions, construction loans, permanent financing, historic tax credit matters, seller finance, and leasehold financing.
Mark also has a background as chief of staff and senior policy advisor to former mayor of Richmond, the Honorable Dwight C. Jones.
Mark was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Real Estate in 2011 and 2012, and is a past Executive Committee Member and past Programs Co-Chair of the Richmond district of the Urban Land Institute, 2011-2012, and is a past board member of CARITAS.
